How to play

Guess where the power flows.

How to play

  1. Read the name

Each round shows the name of a real electricity utility: the company that owns the local power lines, which is not always the name on the bill.

  2. Drop your pin

Tap or click the map where you think it delivers electricity, then press Confirm pin. Inside the territory, or within 25 km of its edge, scores the full 10 points; farther out, the score falls in a straight line to 0 at 3,000 km. Arrow keys and Enter work too.

Good to know

  • Watch for cut-outs

Some cities inside a territory are served by another utility. A pin in one of those gets no 25 km allowance.

  • Hints cost points

Stuck? Each hint takes 2 points off that utility’s score.

  • The daily round

The daily round is the same for everyone. You can play it once per day, on US Eastern time, in this browser.

Territories are approximations made from public data, not official boundaries.
